There’s a big user base that seeks a large screen device and to cater to such a crowd, Nokia at the Nokia World announced the Lumia 1320 and the Lumia 1520 Windows Phone devices. Both boast the same 6-inch display but differ in terms of resolution and other features.
The Lumia 1520 is understandably the flagship that features a full HD 1080p display along with 20MP PureView camera with OIS. The phone, like the Lumia 1020 oversamples images and even protrudes at the back slightly. The phone is equipped with Storyteller app that picks up geotagged information with the image to create a story, Nokia Rich Recording support for topnotch video recording with four microphones and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM. The device also features 32GB internal memory, earns a microSD card slot, NFC, LTE support, front-facing 1.2MP HD camera and 3400mAh battery with built-in wireless charging.
The Lumia 1320 is being pitched as an affordable Lumia 1520 with the same screen size but supports a 720p HD resolution. The Lumia 1320 is powered by 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 5MP main camera and VGA on the front, LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3400mAh battery.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be available in yellow, white, black and glossy red in Q4 2013 for around $749 before taxes and subsidies in Hong Kong, Singapore, U.S., China, U.K., France, Germany, Finland and other European markets while Lumia 1320 will be available in orange, yellow, white and black from Q1 2014. It is priced at around $339 in China and Vietnam, followed by other Asian markets, India and Europe.
