HTC today announced the third device in the HTC One family – the HTC One max. As the name suggests, it’s the bigger version of the HTC One with a larger 5.9-inch full HD display but loses the Beats Audio integration that could be attributed to the recent development. Interestingly, the device sports a fingerprint sensor at the back and though it is not aesthetically pleasing as the one on the iPhone 5s, the fingerprint sensor will allow to unlock the device with either of the three fingers user decides to register with the phone.
Internally, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core CPU – same as HTC One and comes with 2GB RAM, LTE support, 16GB and 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot, GPS, NFC, DLNA, UltraPixel camera with HTC Zoe and 3300mAh battery.
HTC One max also features Sense 5.5, BlinkFeed, BoomSound and enhanced camera functions like dual capture using both cameras, Scribble to draw on the captured images.
HTC hasn’t revealed the price but it will be an uphill task for the Taiwanese company to convince customers to go with such a large device with a slightly older SoC considering the flagship from competitors are selling with Snapdragon 800.
