D-Link India has announced two new 3G modem offerings – a regular 3G USB modem and a Mobile Router aka MiFi. The DWM-156 is a USB dongle that supports up to 14.4Mbps and is unlocked, enabling users to use any operator of their choice. Additionally, the dongle also comes with a microSD card reader slot, allowing it to use as optional flash drive. It will sell for Rs. 1,599.
The DWM-730 is a business card sized MiFi that supports HSPA+ up to 21.6 Mbps. Equipped with a 1500mAh battery, it can offer 3G connectivity to up to 8 devices simultaneously with estimated usage of up to 5 hours. Furthermore, when not using as a router, the DWM-730 can also be used to charge mobile phones. It also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. The MiFi will go for Rs. 4,499.
