A high-end waterproof smartphone is the latest fad for mobile companies it seems. After Sony launching the waterproof Xperia Z and Samsung confirming to launch one in the coming weeks, LG has come up with their variant of a waterproof Optimus phone. The phone is identified as Optimus GJ and is certified with IPX7 certification which means it can survive in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Apart from that, we’re basically looking at the same Optimus G with a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 13MP camera and 2,280mAh battery.
The phone is currently available in Taiwan in red and black hues for TW$17,999 or equivalent to US$600.
