Google’s been aggressively pushing its Play services for the Indian region in the last few weeks. First we got access to Books, then Google started selling the Nexus 7 on the store and now the Android maker has given the green light to Movies on the Play Store.
Indian Android users can now rent or purchase standard/high definition at affordable rates. While the Bollywood movie choices are currently from Yash Raj Films’ portfolio, we expect Google to add more Hindi movies in the coming weeks. Hollywood movies on the other hand, are available aplenty.
The cheapest price to rent a movie is Rs. 50 but the average price is around Rs. 80 that allows users to watch for 2 days within 30 days of renting the movie. Users can even buy the movies in standard and high definition with average price start from Rs. 180.
Users can access Movies from the Play Movies app or directly on the web.
