Corsair today announced the Voyager Air wireless mobile drive for the Indian market. Unlike Kingston and Seagate’s offerings that can only store content and stream data, Voyager Air also doubles up as a network attached storage (NAS) and a wireless hub.
Available in capacities of 500GB and 1TB, the drive features a rechargeable battery, USB 3.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Users can stream content to up to 5 devices simultaneously and has a battery life of up to seven hours of video streaming.
Additionally, attaching the device with a router through the Ethernet interface will transform the streaming hard drive into a NAS and even allows a wireless pass through acting as a wireless hub by connecting to the existing wireless connection.
Corsair hasn’t revealed the price but expects to sell it from April 2013.
