Samsung pulled off a surprise at the Galaxy Note II launch event yesterday by showing off the Galaxy Camera. For the uninitiated, Galaxy Camera is the first digital camera from Samsung that runs on Android OS and in fact the first camera to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The camera’s performance is handled by some meaty hardware, which includes a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity options and a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD.
As for its photo taking abilities, the camera is equipped with a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor, 21X optical zoom and various photo enhancing improvements like Smart Pro, Rich Tone, Light Trace etc.
Samsung will introduce the camera in the Indian market in early November, just before Diwali.
