Microsoft yesterday detailed all the Windows 8 Editions that will be sold when it will make its way to the market. While Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro will be sold for x86-based processors, Windows on ARM will be known as Windows RT.
Quite an interesting choice of name and unlike the x86-based editions, this ARM-centric edition will be pre-installed on devices running on ARM processors. Microsoft says Windows RT will include touch-optimized desktop versions of MS Office however, won’t support installation of any other desktop software supported on x86.
