Looks like cloud storage war is getting big in the Android arena. After Box.net announced to give away 50GB of free storage, Dropbox today released an update to its app that adds a new feature and a way to earn up to 3GB of extra space.
The app now features automatic photo upload feature that allows users to backup their photos almost instantaneously on the cloud. The images will be uploaded to a private folder so be rest assured your private moments won’t go public.
Moreover, to entice users to upload pictures, Dropbox is giving up to 3GB of extra storage in increments of 500MB. In short, the more you upload, more storage you get.
