SanDisk developed iNAND has got an upgrade that promises to improve data transfer speeds in high-end tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices. The new iNAND Extreme now offers a sequential read/write speed of up to 80/50 MB per second.
SanDisk says faster sequential performance is a requisite when capturing HD or 3D video or transferring files via the USB 3.0 interface. Additionally, iNAND being an embedded flash drive, it can improve the device’s multimedia synchronization speeds and OS responsiveness.
The iNAND Extreme will come in capacities from 16GB to 64GB and will be available for sampling from Q3 2011.
