
Samsung announced their latest installment in the Galaxy S series in South Korea today. The Galaxy S II will be available on all three operators in Korea – SKT, KT and LG U+, making Korea one of the first markets to get the power packed device.
Samsung says Galaxy S II is built on Galaxy S’ DNA which boasts of three ‘S’ – Speed, Screen and Slim. On the feature front, there are few changes as compared to the international variant like the inclusion of DMB, EVDO Rev B. 9.3Mbps support for LG U+ variant and NFC (for SKT and KT). Rest of the features like 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 8MP camera, full HD video recording / playback remain the same.
Samsung also confirmed that following the Korean launch, they’ll release the phone globally in over 120 countries via 140 cellular operators.
