Nokia ends development of first MeeGo phone?

Hot on the heels of Elop’s leaked memo that said one MeeGo device for 2011, Reuters is citing couple of industry sources who claim that Nokia has ended development of its first MeeGo device even before its launch. However, the phone could still be shown at its investor day meeting on Friday.

The move is unconfirmed for now but if true, the current situation just gives more credence to Nokia’s rumored affiliation with Microsoft for Windows Phone 7.

MeeGo is a culmination of Nokia and Intel’s Linux-based platforms — Maemo and Moblin.
