The iPhone Dev team has released a new beta version of redsn0w that will jailbreak iOS 4.0 or 4.1 running iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G devices (tethered for MC models). The jailbreak uses the pwnage2 exploit that will allow to install Cydia using the DFU mode.
Team says users banking on ultrasn0w unlock should stay away from this tool and should rather wait for pwnagetool to support 4.1.
