LG has brought its first device from the Optimus family to India. The GT540 is first Optimus phone to run on Android and though it will sell with Android 1.6, LG has promised to release Android 2.1 in due time.
The phone’s features include a 3-inch touchscreen display, 3G, quad-band GSM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.2MP camera with geo-tagging, face tagging, FM Radio, A-GPS, DivX support and microSD card slot.
GT540 also gives access to Google’s Android market, Google services and a dedicated social networking client.
LG will sell the device for Rs. 12,990.
