Apple has updated its all-in-one iMac family and now comes with Intel’s Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and updated graphics. Starting from $1,199, the new iMacs go up to 3.6GHz as far as dual-core is concerned and up to 2.93GHz with quad-core Core i5, i7 options. The iMacs now also have an option to integrate ATI Radeon HD 5750 GPU.
Apple says the Core processors have an integrated memory controller that takes advantage of iMac’s 1333MHz RAM support. Additionally, the iMac displays feature IPS technology giving a 178 degree viewing angle, SD card slot supporting SDXC format and 256GB SSD option (27-inch iMac only).
iMac is bundled with a Magic Mouse but users can also buy the newly launched Magic Trackpad. The Magic Trackpad is a wireless, glass surface device akin to trackpad on Mac notebooks that give the same multi-touch experience to the iMac desktops. Magic Trackpad will sell for $69.
