At the quarterly result call, Qualcomm’s CEO Paul Jacobs has confirmed that its FLO TV business is not doing as much as they expected. In fact, the service that delivers television content to dedicated devices and mobile phones is struggling and Qualcomm is looking at a “number of alternatives.”
Jacobs wouldn’t divulge what the alternatives are but said that there are “a lot of interesting discussions” and “will get done in the next year.”
For a fixed monthly subscription, FLO TV delivers live shows or time-shifted content from a number of publishers.
