LG’s powerful Android phone is ready to hit the South Korean market this coming weekend. The Optimus Q (LU2300) will be available on LG Telecom and has been tailored to suit the Korean consumers. The phone runs Android 1.6 (v2.1 update during July-August) and is touted to have an easy-to-use user interface loaded with South Korean apps. LG has also confirmed to open their LG Apps store in June.
As for the hardware configuration, the Optimus Q has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, 3.5-inch WVGA HD LCD display, 5MP camera, Dolby and DivX support, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3GB internal memory, 4GB bundled microSD card (supports up to 32GB) and DMB.
It will sell for a price of around 800,000 won ($660).
