Nokia X5 TD-SCDMA

Nokia is continuing to expand its mobile portfolio in the world’s biggest mobile market. They’ve announced TD-SCDMA supporting Nokia X5 and C5 devices for China Mobile. X5 and C5 will debut at the World Expo Shanghai 2010 where consumers will be able to get a hands-on experience on both the devices.

The X5 is the first Symbian powered TD-SCDMA device from Nokia targeted at music aficionados. The phone comes with a dedicated music key and easy access to CMCC music. Additionally, the phone has 5MP camera with dual-LED flash, 2.4-inch QVGA display, MM-Ovi Store compatibility, Fetion IM and Navigation support. X5 will sell in China from this quarter.

On the other hand, C5 is touted to be a powerful TD-SCDMA device at an affordable price tag. Interestingly, the TD-SCDMA version features a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display and 5MP camera, both bumped as compared to GSM-based C5’s 2.2-inch display and 3.2MP camera. The phone also supports MM-Ovi Store. It will be available in China in Q3 2010.
