Samsung has added a new eco-friendly device to its vast mobile portfolio. They’ve announced Restore, a messaging phone for Sprint made from environmental-friendly materials. The phone’s green design consists of a casing that boasts 27 percent of recycled plastic, has low levels of PVC, BFRs, Phthalates, Beryllium and overall the phone is 84 percent recyclable. Additionally, the packaging is 100 percent recyclable, comes with Energy Star Version 2.0 rated charger and has a Sprint One Click button giving quick access to users to adopt a greener lifestyle.
On the technical front, the Restore comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, an optical navigation key, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, music player, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB and support for various Sprint services.
Samsung Restore will be available this summer for $49.99 on a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.
