Seagate announces Blackarmor storage solutions for Indian SMBs

It’s taken almost a year to reach our shores but it’s finally here – Seagate’s Blackarmor range of storage solutions. Targeted at small and medium businesses, the Blackarmor Network attached storage drives and external workstation drive claim to give peace of mind to businesses with strong backup solution.

The BlackArmor NAS 440/420 Storage Servers come in a four drive bay configuration, supports up to 8TB of data and can be networked to up to 50 computers. The only difference between NAS 440 and 420 models are that the 440 comes loaded with four HDDs whereas 420 comes with two HDDs. The NAS 440 is priced at Rs. 99,000 for 8TB and NAS 420 at Rs. 55,200 for 4TB.

The BlackArmor NAS 220 Storage Server lowers the bar a bit to up to 20 computers and features two drive bays. It bundles with two HDDs giving 4TBs of shared storage. It costs Rs. 42,000.

The BlackArmor NAS 110 Storage Server is the smallest of all that supports to up to 10 PCs and comes in a single 2TB drive configuration. Priced at Rs. 19,000 for 2TB or Rs. 12,000 for 1TB.

Finally the WS 110 Workstation is a secured, direct attached storage and backup solution. It comes in 1 or 2GB capacities and brings eSATA and USB 2.0 support for faster data transfers. It goes for Rs. 13,500 for 2TB or Rs. 8,000 for 1TB.

All the Blackarmor drives feature SafetyDrill+ software and AES 256-bit government grade protection.
