UPDATE: Opera claims Mini for iPhone is up to six times faster than iPhone’s Safari and consumes 10 times less data. Another interesting thing is that Opera hasn’t submitted the browser to the App Store, which means the chances of using Opera on iPhone is totally on the mercy of Apple’s approval (that seems unlikely!).
After years of waiting, Opera’s leading mobile browser, Opera Mini is set to come on the iPhone. The browser’s release date on the App Store is still a secret but it will be exclusively previewed at the MWC next week.
Opera Mini is the leading browser in the mobile phone market and uses compression technology that allows a user and the operator to save on bandwidth as well as load pages quickly.
Opera will be previewing Mini for iPhone at Hall 1, C44.
