Samsung has announced new phones under an altogether new series dubbed as Shark. Samsung claims the series will cater to “active, multimedia-hungry users who value style and design as much as they value constant access to their social networks”.
Starting with the Shark (S5350), it’s a simple candy-bar phone that comes in a slim 11.9mm metallic finish. It sports an updated GUI, a 3.2MP camera and multi-messenger and quick social networking access.
The Shark 2 (S5550) is the same we saw a few days back. It comes with a nice AMOLED screen, 5MP autofocus camera, Bluetooth, SNS shortcut menu, 110MB internal memory and microSD card up to 8GB.
Finally, it’s the Shark 3 (S3550) that looks to be the cheapest Shark device. The phone features mediocre specs but tries to score on the visual front with its patterned metallic back cover that tends to give a premium look from every angle. Internally, the phone again has an updated UI, 2MP camera, microSD card slot, music player and more.
Samsung has not revealed the pricing of these new devices but has confirmed they won’t cost exorbitantly.
