Every year, CES follows a certain trend where we see same type of products being showcased in abundance. This upcoming CES looks no different with internet tablets expected to rule the roost. One of the promising tablets is anticipated from Hyderabad-based Notion Ink who will unveil its Tegra-powered “Smartpad” running Android OS. Specifications look rock solid and if the real smartpad is as good looking as this render, they might have a winner in their hands.

Notion Ink’s device will feature Pixel Qi’s transflective display, which will function as a regular LCD indoors but also also make it usable outdoors in transflective mode with reduced colors or grayscale mode. Rest of the features include Tegra T20 chipset, GSM and UMTS support, Android OS, 10.1-inch SVGA touchscreen display, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, full HD video decode, HDMI-out, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3MP autofocus camera and 16 or 32GB flash storage with expandable memory.

Notion Ink will be unveiling the device at the CES but for the time being here are couple of shots showing the Pixel Qi screen in action.

As for the price, it’s not yet out but Notion Ink confirmed they’re looking for a June launch window with U.S. being first and India soon after (in under 2 weeks after U.S. launch!).
