Sony has launched its Mickey Mouse-esque, E440 and S540 PMPs in India. The NWZ-S540 is the superior off the two that boasts Sony’s exclusive Digital Linear Phase Speaker System for enhanced audio quality from its integrated loudspeakers, 2.4-inch LCD screen, iTunes support as well as variety of video codecs support including H.264/AVC/MP4/WMV. It has also got FM Radio, an Alarm function and provides up to 42 hours of music and 6.5 hours of video.
On the other hand, the feather light and slim NWZ-E440 is targeted towards first time PMP adopters. E440 forgoes loudspeakers but comes with a 2-inch display, Clear Audio technology, Equalizer, FM Radio tuner and recorder and battery life of 30 hours when on music or about 6 hours for video.
S540 will be available in black for Rs. 6,990 (4GB) while E440 will come in pink, violet, red and black color options for Rs. 5,990 (4GB) and Rs. 6,990 (8GB).
