New HP notebooks to fill others with ENVY

HP has announced the new ENVY line of notebooks that touts to offer precision-crafted, high performance notebooks with HP Metal Etching and concierge service.

Built on HP owned Voodoo ENVY brand, HP is offering ENVY 13 featuring the brightest display in its class and ENVY 15 taking the crown for company’s fastest notebook.

The ENVY 13 comes in full aluminum and magnesium body that helps it to pack decent computing hardware in less than an inch of thickness. The notebook is equipped with the Radiance Display that offers a brightness of 410nit, improved color gamut and 8ms response time.

Core 2 Duo handles the processing tasks while ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 takes care of the graphics which can be switched to integrated graphics with the help of ATI Switchable Graphics tech. It also has a VGA webcam, HP Clickpad and a whopping 18 hour battery life.

The 15.6-inch ENVY 15 is the fastest consumer notebook HP has ever produced. Coming in a full metal casing, the ENVY 15 gives an option to go for the Core i7 CPU, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, add two SSD drives with RAID-0 configuration and features a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 GPU, VGA webcam optimized for low light conditions and up to 7 hours of battery life.

ENVY 13 and 15 will start selling in US from October 18 with a starting price of $1699 and $1799 respectively.
