Nikon D3000 targets photography enthusiasts

Nikon D3000 DSLR

 

In addition to D300s, Nikon also introduced the D3000 DSLR that goes for the first time DSLRers. The camera comes with a special Guide Mode that gives a walkthrough of every feature of the camera and helping them to take better pictures.

The camera boasts a 10.2MP CCD image sensor, EXPEED imaging processor, 3-inch LCD, ISO up to 1600, 11-point AF, Active D-Lighting, 3D Color Matrix Metering II and Retouch menu that allows to modify images right in the camera.

The D3000 will be available in late August for $599.95 along with the AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR image stabilization lens.

    The lack of a flip-out screen and video mode might be seen as a drawback by some, but we prefer looking through the viewfinder, especially on sunny days. We don’t care much for the video mode on still cameras, either. But if you do want video, then the Nikon D5000 is a better proposition.
