Acer’s notebook unit will see an interesting addition in October, a 3D screen equipped 15.6-inch notebook. Campbell Kan, VP of Acer’s mobile computing business confirmed that they are co-developing a 3D notebook along with Wistron, who also happens to be the OEM of HP’s rumored 3D notebook. The notebook will be equipped with Windows 7 OS and a pre-installed software will help convert the 2D content in 3D.
Kan also said that the users will need stereoscopic glasses to watch 3D but are developing a future iteration that removes the requisite.
The notebook will be launched in the last few days of October, after the launch of Microsoft’s Windows 7 that will take place on October 22.
