Not content with the app store, Samsung has announced a dedicated movie store to cater to its multimedia centric audiences. The service, known as Samsung Movies will be available on phones, laptops or PCs where users can buy or rent content.
Initially, there will be 500 Hollywood movies as well as TV Shows available while 1000 more movies will be added by June 2009. The prevailing charges will be £2.49 for a 24-hour rental or from £4.99 to own.
Acetrax is handling the distribution duties and will be available first in UK and Germany followed by other European countries.
Tocco Ultra Edition is only handset that supports this service. More devices will be added as they launch this year.
