BMW Korea and Samsung have joined hands again to co-market their 7-Series cars with Samsung phones. In addition to the previous features like Bluetooth hands-free and iDrive controller, the premium 7-Series will offer wireless charging for Samsung’s premium phone, T*Omnia (SCH-M490 in Korea). The phone needs to be kept on the designated place and voila, the phone will start charging.
BMW says this wireless charging solution in a car is world’s first but limited to a single device just kills the innovative feature. After all, not all BMW 7-Series owners have an Omnia, do they?
