Panasonic announced an upgrade to its Toughbook 19 tablet PC and Toughbook 30 notebook. The Toughbooks are meant for rough, outdoor use and keeping that mind, Panasonic is offering these devices with LCDs that can be viewed directly under the sunlight. They are equipped with a brightness measuring at 1,000 nits. The screens also feature circular polarization technology along with anti-glare and anti-reflective treatment.
The Toughbooks also got an upgrade on the hardware front. The Core 2 Duo processors support vPro technology which improves security and remote management. There are other options like integrating SSDs or higher capacity HDDs or expand memory.
The Toughbook 19 price starts from $3,649 and Toughbook 30 from $3,749.
