Even though Nokia has competitive phones to go head to head with the ilk of Blackberry, iPhone and others, they have always concentrated on a market which most of them have failed to capture – the low and the midrange handset market. Now with the sliding economy, this gives a perfect reason to the Finnish giant to promote the phones from these segments. This is why, they have unveiled three phones which are priced moderately yet packed with features.
First up is the Nokia 6700 Classic which ups the ante from 6300. The phone has a full metal keypad to give it a premium look and comes with 5 megapixel camera, aGPS, UMTS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microSD card slot (max. 8GB) and will run on S40 6th Edition platform. The phone will retail for 235 Euros plus taxes.
Next is 6303 Classic which targets people looking for a better alternative to 6300. The phone will go for 135 Euros before taxes and gives a 2.2-inch screen, 3.2MP cam, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD up to 4GB.
Lastly, the cheapest of the lot is 2700 Classic. It has a fully blown music player, up to 2GB microSD expansion, Ovi support, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a decent talk time of 6 hours. Priced at 65 Euros.
