DVS DivX plus Memory Device Player

DVS Electronics has released a DVD player in India which has the capability to read data from Memory Cards. The company claims it is the first one to introduce this type of player in the country. The player, DVU 762A is equipped with an External Memory Device Reader which is compatible with Memory Stick, Multi Media Card, SD Cards and even USB drives.


You can easily insert a memory card to watch the pics shot from your digital camera or even hear music directly from the USB drives. Apart from this, it plays DivX, 3ivX and XviD formats. It also plays DVD, VCD, SVCD, HDCD, DTS – CD, WMA, Audio CD, MP3 and Picture CDs. It looks a promising media player which is competitively priced at Rs.4990 ($113).

    I have a few questions.

    1,Can it play .avi files in it

    2,The external memory adapter – what is the maximum size it can support ,example max 1gb,2gb usb drives etc any restrictions like that

    3,Does it play multiregion DVDs

    4,Is the firmware upgradable so that it can support future versions of divx

    4,which all divx versions does this player support divx3,divx4 …

    5, Is it availiable in cochin.
