Samsung does not claim the Galaxy S6 to be water and dust proof but they will be able to claim for the new Galaxy S6 active that Samsung announced for AT&T. The phone is exclusive to the American carrier for now and brings in the ruggedness and durability from Samsung’s Galaxy S flagship phone. The Galaxy S6 active adheres to Mil-STD-810G specification and IP68 rating for water resistance and dust as well as shock proof.
Samsung forgoes the fingerprint sensor embedded home button for three physical buttons, an Activity Zone button and a bigger 3500mAh battery.
As for the other features, the phone has a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, 3GB RAM, octa-core Exynos 64-bit processor, 32GB internal memory, 16GB megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel on the front and colour options of Camo White, Camo Blue and Gray.
The phone will go on sale from June 12 in the United States.
