Microsoft expanded its Windows Phone lineup at the Barcelona tradeshow with the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL. Upgradeable to Windows 10 later this year, both devices are powered by the same processor and same amount of RAM but there are a few things that sets both the devices apart.
Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and features a 5-inch HD display on the Lumia 640 or a 5.7-inch display on the Lumia 640 XL. Furthermore, the camera on the Lumia 640 features an 8 megapixel sensor while the Lumia XL boasts a 13 megapixel Zeiss optics.
Rounding up the specs are 2500mAh battery on 640 or 3000mAh on 640 XL, microSD card slot support, 8GB internal memory, 4G LTE and dual-SIM support and 30GB of free OneDrive storage.
The Lumia 640 will be available from April for a starting price of the 3G variant for 139 euros whereas the Lumia 640 XL starts from 189 euros.
