Asus brings Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) to India for Rs. 13,999

Asus has expanded its Fonepad lineup with a new 8-inch model. Aptly named as the Fonepad 8 (FE380CG), the tablet brings dual-SIM support with 3G connectivity support. Asus claims the new Fonepad 8 is lighter (310g) and has a narrower bezel at 12cm, which is said to be the slimmest for an 8-inch tablet.

The Fonepad 8 runs Android 4.4 with Asus’ custom Zen UI that boasts over 1000 software enhancements and new visual design with modern ‘flat’ icons. As for the hardware, the Fonepad features an 8-inch 1280×800 IPS display, 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom processor Z3530 1.33GHz, phone calling support, 16GB internal memory with up to 64GB microSD card slot and 4000mAh battery providing up to 12 hours of battery life or up to 21 hours of 3G talk time.

The Fonepad 8 retails for Rs. 13,999.
