After months of delay, Samsung has announced their first Tizen-powered phone – the Samsung Z. Expected to go on sale in Q3 in Russia, the Samsung Z boasts a similar faux leather and stitch design from the Galaxy series and offers a touch a customisation with Dynamic Box and Colour Theme settings.
Features-wise, Samsung Z is a mixed bag of Galaxy hardware and software with a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Download Booster, S Health 3.0, Fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and LTE-A support. Despite the meaty hardware, Samsung has gone with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display and not a Full HD display and comes with an 8MP and 2MP cameras, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, IR Remote, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot up to 64GB and 2600mAh battery.
There’s no word on the price but Samsung will release it in the coming months in black and gold colours.
