LG started selling the G Flex last month and now we’ve managed to get our hands on the device to put it through a small unboxing and initial hands-on. The first thing about the G Flex you’ll notice is the curved form factor. The G Flex is designed more or less on the lines of the G2 but it’s claim to fame is the curved 6-inch OLED display and the non-removable curved battery. The phone also features some other interesting features like KnockOn to lock/unlock the display, a self healing back (which actually works!) and physical buttons with the power/lock button doubling up as an LED notification light.
The phone’s performance is at par with the other flagship devices available in the market as it’s powered by Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and its UI is designed to take advantage of the curved display with QTheater, Swing Lockscreen, Dual Window and more.
We’ll take a detailed look at the device in the coming days but for now enjoy the gallery with some images.
