LG couldn’t really wait till MWC as in South Korea today, they’ve announced the successor of its LG Optimus G Pro smartphone. Aptly named as G Pro 2, the new device ups the ante from its predecessor by integrating some new features as well as state-of-the-art hardware. The G Pro 2 features a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display and is covered by a thin 3.3mm bezel on the front that boasts a screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 percent. Internally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 2.26GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB internal memory with microSD card expansion slot. Rounding up the hardware are a 13MP OIS rear-facing camera and 2.1MP front-facing camera, 3200mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, 1W Hi-Fi Sound, SlimPort and HSP+ or LTE connectivity.
The LG G Pro 2 runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat version and will feature software enhancements like Knock Code that works like KnockOn but unlocks as per the ‘knocks’ set by the user. It also comes with Content Lock, Mini View, Dual Browser and camera-centric features like 120fps slow-motion HD video recording, 4K video recording support, Magic Focus, Flash for Selfie, Burst Shot, Gallery Collage.
