Lenovo earlier this week showed off its latest range of gaming-centric PCs. The device to attract the most attention is the IdeaPad Y510p. Starting at a modest 69,990 for a gaming laptop, the notebook offers a powerful 4th generation Core i7 processor option, a discrete 2GB GT750M Nvidia graphics card and an Ultrabay port. Ultrabay is Lenovo’s unique feature, which the user can take advantage of by swapping the integrated optical disc drive with a HDD or a GPU. The GPU will work in SLI mode, thus enhancing the graphics processing capability of the machine. The only catch with the Ultrabay is you’ll have to source the part from Lenovo, which is a fair enough ask considering another Ultrabay-compatible Nvidia GPU will cost under Rs, 10,000.
Furthermore, there’s support of up to 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD, JBL speakers with Dolby Home Theater v4, illuminated keyboard, Always-on USB port, USB 3.0 and HDMI connectivity, 720p HD webcam, great looking design and most importantly, a 15.6-inch display will full HD resolution support.
The Z510 is a multimedia notebook with a balance of decent hardware to give satisfactory gaming and multimedia performance. The 15.6-inch notebook features option of latest generation Core i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB RAM, WiDi support, OneKey recovery, Dolby support and more. The Z510 price starts from Rs. 50,990.
The final item that Lenovo showed off was an AIO – IdeaCentre Horizon 27. Lenovo announced the all-in-one machine at the CES earlier this year and bagged more than 14 CES awards for its design and the interface. It features an Aura interface that allows two to three people to interact with the device at the same time. For instance, there are games preloaded on the device and with the included accessories, users can play Monopoly with an e-dice, air hockey with two sticks and so on. The machine is powered by the third generation Core processor but Lenovo confirmed about a refresh with the latest generation Intel processor will be out soon.
The computer also features Windows 8 OS, dedicated Nvidia GPU, Dolby support.
The IdeaCentre Horizon 27 goes for Rs. 1,36,500.
