True to their word, Microsoft has confirmed Xbox One’s November release date. Xbox One will be released in 13 markets initially from November 22, a week later than PS4 in the US and a week early before PS4’s European launch. The 13 markets include Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK and US with many more expected in 2014.
Microsoft also confirmed some changes to the final Xbox One unit. The CPU will get a bump from the previous 1.6GHz clock speed to 1.75GHz and a 6 percent increase for the GPU. Furthermore, Xbox One uses a custom-built 8-core CPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, a Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, a new Kinect sensor with a 1080p wide-angle camera and an improved Xbox controller.
