Two piece of good news coming out from the Samsung camp today. First is the arrival of the Curved OLED TV for the European market. The TV that was available in South Korea and USA, will now sell in European countries like Germany, UK, France, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Curved OLED TV promises top notch picture quality due to the use of OLED panel and integrates self-emitting RGB sub-pixels that eliminates the need for a colour filter. The ‘Timeless Arena’ equipped curved OLED TV will sell for 7,999 euros with Germany to be the first in line to get it.
Next piece of info is for our readers in US who are looking forward to purchase a Samsung UHD TV. Samsung has now cut the price of its 65-inch and 55-inch F9000 UHD TV by $1500 and $1000 respectively, bringing the final price at $5,999 (65-inch) and $4,499 (55-inch). This makes Samsung’s offerings in line with UHD TVs from its competitors like Sony or LG.
UHD TV got a huge push this year that offers 4K resolution, which is four times higher than a regular HDTV that supports 1080p resolution.
