The phone that has been subjected to many leaks and speculation has been officially announced by Nokia. The Lumia 1020 will be the world’s first Windows Phone to boast a 41MP camera sensor that will build on Nokia’s innovative PureView technology. Complementing the 6-lens Zeiss optics will be Nokia Pro Camera app that will give more freedom to users with advanced controls, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support, xenon flash, loss less full HD video recording and a front-facing 1.2MP wide angle camera.
Nokia will also offer a camera grip accessory (PD-95G) that will bring an ergonomic grip to the device, a tripod mount and built-in battery for longer use.
Rounding up the features, the Lumia 1020 runs on the latest version of Windows Phone 8 OS, supports LTE and comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA (1280×768) display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, 2000mAh batter and wireless charging support.
The Lumia 1020 will launch in US on July 26 for $300 on contract.
