LG prices OLED TV for South Korea, releasing in February for $10,000

LG will become the first TV manufacturer to release OLED TV as they’ve announced the price and release date for South Korea. LG will start taking pre-orders of its 55-inch WRGB OLED TV (55EM9700) from tomorrow with deliveries expected to begin next month. LG has priced the TV at 11 million won that translates roughly to US$10000.

If you’ve got that much cash to spare, expect a TV 4mm thin with less than 10kg of weight and amazing picture quality, thanks to the OLED panel.

LG will release pricing and availability details for other regions in the coming weeks.
