After launching it in beta last month, RIM has released the latest installment of BBM for all users. Currently supporting devices running on BlackBerry 6 OS, the app will allow users to call other BBM users for free over Wi-Fi network. Apart from the calling feature, BBM 7 also adds upgrade notification right inside the app, new emoticons and synchronization of the BBM profile with the BlackBerry ID.
RIM says it will take about 24 hours to appear in the BlackBerry App World and has promised to extend the voice calling feature on devices running BlackBerry 5 OS.
