Surface with Windows 8 Pro will arrive in January from $899

Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro

 

Microsoft has announced the pricing and the release date of the second variant of its Surface tablet. The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will be available from January 2013 carrying a price tag of $899 for 64GB and $999 for 128GB.

Major difference between Surface with Windows RT and Surface with Windows 8 Pro is the choice of Intel Core i5 processor in the latter that ensures compatibility with most Desktop-based apps.

Apart from that, the tablet features a 10.6-inch 16:9 ClearType full HD 1920×1080 display, 4GB RAM, dual 720p HD cameras, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 port, Mini DisplayPort, stylus pen support and compatible with Touch Cover and Type Cover.
