What’s beyond full HD? 4K Ultra Definition, of course. Although companies have been showcasing television sets sporting the super high resolution, LG will be the world’s first manufacturer to bring an 84-inch set sporting such resolution to the retail market.
Admittedly, the UD display market is “still in its infancy,” LG says they had to claim a stake in the market, which is expected to burgeon in the next few years. The 84-inch UD 3D TV features 8 million pixels per frame, which is four times (3840×2160) the resolution of existing full HD TVs.
Moreover, the LG UD TVs feature Resolution Upscaler Plus, 3D Sound Zooming Feature, Magic Remote support, Dual Play support, 2.2 speaker system and more.
LG will launch the TV next month starting in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. LG will also showcase the TV at IFA 2012.
