Google’s maiden Nexus tablet may launch in India in the next couple of months, reports Times of India. According to an Asus spokesperson, the Nexus 7 will be available “in October.” Asus expects to “complete the process to bring the tablet to India,” including the pricing, which will be finalized in September.
Given the fate of Nexus phones in India, a Nexus tablet’s confirmation is a warm welcome.
Google unveiled the Nexus 7 tablet at the Google I/O late last month to cater to the burgeoning tablet market. Despite the cheap price tag in the United States, the tablet is packed with features like Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 7-inch 1280×800 display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 8GB memory and up to 10 hours of battery life.
