Archos has introduced a new tablet that goes for a very young crowd. We’re talking about the kids of course! Archos has revealed an aptly named Child Pad that tries to lure kids with jazzy software UI and apps. The tablet comes with a Kids App Store that allows to download child-suitable apps and games, 28 pre-loaded apps including Angry Birds and a bright user interface overlaid on top of Android 4.0. Additionally, web browsing on the tablet is locked down to comply with CIPA and COPPA regulations.
On the hardware front, the tablet is powered by an unspecified 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 7-inch display, Wi-Fi and more.
Archos Child Pad is slated to go on sale later this month for a price of $129 in US and 99 in UK. Given the lucrative pricing, who is buying this for themselves err…their kids?
