It’s a sad start to the day. We at Tech Ticker are deeply saddened with the visionary’s demise. Steve Jobs, Chairman of the Board of Apple co-founded the company in 1976. Jobs also co-founded and was the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios who have some of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time including Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars and Ratatouille. Pixar merged with The Walt Disney Company in 2006 and Steve now serves on Disney’s board of directors.
Steve was battling from pancreatic cancer died and at 56. Earlier, on 24 August 2011, Jobs wrote a letter to the Board of Directors and Apple Community that he would be stepping down as a CEO of Apple and suggested Tim Cook as his replacement.
