Amazon’s worst kept secret is out. They’ve introduced their first ever tablet called as Kindle Fire. Kindle Fire runs on Android OS but just like the Nook Color, Amazon has a deep user interface integration so as to not show any resemblance to the multitude of Android tablets available. As for the tablet, Kindle Fire sports an unspecified dual-core processor, 7-inch IPS-grade display with 1024×600 resolution support, Wi-Fi, 8GB internal memory but digital content bought on Amazon will be stored on the cloud, which virtually makes it unlimited, Silk browser that processes web pages on an Amazon server for a better and faster browsing experience.
Amazon pegs Kindle Fire’s battery life at up to 8 hours for reading and 7.5 hours for video playback.
Kindle Fire will be released on November 15 but interested users can pre-order now for $199. Users will also get a month free of Amazon’s paid service – Amazon Prime.
